Extension 1.0.5 narrows site access

Indexer extension 1.0.5 removes the always-on all-sites content script and uses active-tab access only when page metadata is needed.

Indexer extension 1.0.5 tightens browser permissions while keeping the bookmark workflow the same.

What changed

  • Removed the always-on all-sites content script.
  • Added active-tab, on-demand metadata extraction for the current page.
  • Kept host access limited to https://getindexer.com for account connection and sync.
  • Bookmark saving, sync, broken-link labels, bulk actions, and timezone settings remain unchanged.

Why it matters

Indexer should only access page data when it needs to support a user-facing action. This update keeps metadata capture available when saving the active tab, while avoiding broad always-on page access.
